Default Political Animals

Okay...this should be a nice light post to add a bit of levity to this forum.

Republicans are elephants.
Democrats are donkeys.

However...are these really good mascots for the parties? I think we should examine some alternatives for these.

Also...what would the libertarian or anarcho-capitalist or socialist or communist or green party or labor party or whatever party mascots be?

Republicans - Jackasses or Monkeys, depending on the day
Democrats - Donkey actually works pretty well, or a school of fish
Libertarians - Bats, because we seem like we're one thing, but we're actually another.

Libertarians already have a couple in play, porcupines and penguins. Personally, I prefer the penguin.

And anarcho-capitalism is a philosophy, not a political party.
