Default Should I be playing NL cash games?

I built my bankroll bonus whoring low limits and am now doing well multitabling $2/4 and $3/6 limit Holdem.

I've started playing and doing well in NL Holdem small buyin MTTs and SNGs, and am interested in moving to bigger buyin events.

My bankroll is not a problem (is currently just under $10k), but I think I may lack the experience and instincts that come with a lot of time playing NL.

If I want to start playing bigger MTTs, should I be playing NL cash games for the experience?

I know there are moves you'd make in MTTs you'd never make in a cash game (pushing when shortstacked with a so-so hand, etc); but I thought that the cash game eaxperience would help when the blinds were still small.

Thanks

although i'm sure cash game experience wouldn't hurt, i doubt it's necessary since there are many successful NL tournament specialists that rarely/never play cash games.

how about focusing on SNGs are as a NL development tool?

Party SNGs and Turbos elsewhere seem to best reward a pushbotting style which is of limited use playing MTTs (you need to know when to use it, but you can't have that as your only trick).

I have been playing some slower-structured SNGs for the experience and profit, but cash limit is still my cash cow.

A lot of pros agree that a great NL cash game player can, with very little adjustment, be a great NL MTT player (while the opposite is far from true).
Some real NL ring experience can be of great value, especially for playing with deeper stacks.
