Default tough clicking on Pokerstars?

I just signed up and started playing on PS. I heard everybody raving about how good the interface is, but I've got a couple of complaints.

First, the big brown action buttons frequently do not work with just one click. This means you have to click and watch them to make sure it takes, which is much worse than it may seem when you're multi-tabling and have several simultaneous actions you need to register.

Second, the numbers on the cards are too small.

Third, the floor of the casino is filthy. It has obviously never been cleaned. Dirt has been allowed to accumulate so deep that the frequent spills have carved rivers and valleys in it such that it resembles a map in places.

Ok, so I'm joking about #3 (but what the hell is that background supposed to be, anyway) but #1 is a serious nuisance and #2 is a disadvantage versus other poker rooms. I thought this was supposed to be state-of-the-art?

It's designed this way to prevent missclicks, or help prevent them. It's not a problem or an error. It only happens when you are on one screen and try to click the button on another window that is currently inactive. IF you are already on that page and the buttons come up, it works fine.

1) whatever

2) do a search of the 'software' forum and you can find great cards with big numbers on them

3) You can get screen mods for Stars here: http://www.pokercroaker.com/screens.html -- process is a tad more involved than for Party, but they're MUCH easier on the eyes.

To fix (1), download Microsoft PowerToys for Windows XP > Tewak UI. Make sure [Mouse > X-Mouse: Activation follows mouse] is checked/enabled. Enjay!

Damn, I was just bitching, I didn't really expect solutions. Guess I'll have to shut up then.

On the clicking problem, it actually seems to help now that I know it's not just random. One click for focus, one click for action, move on.

I remember we talked before about Tweak UI and I was all set to install it and then somebody came up with a problem that made me decide not to do it, only I forget what it was - anybody know any disadvantages of having Tweak UI running?

Tweak UI is better than nothing, but it only reduces the problem, it doesn't solve it. If you're on a table, ready to click, and another table steals focus, one click still won't do it. Two usually will, instead of four or five, but the problem remains the same. You click the button, move to another table, then another, only to get the alarm because you never successfully clicked the first one, and so on, and so on.
