Tigerite do you know if there's an easy way to 'measure' the number of players playing every half hour or so? I live in the netherlands so I can't play during peak hours. If I'd have some nice stats on the number of players playing through out the day I could decide when it's best to play (evenings or mornings for example). Maybe it's easy to do with some kind of script?

One of those tests where we compare ROI's during different times would be nice too.

From a marketing point of view, I would say it is much more likely to be the one that gives the highest player count.

Bingo.

So based on this thread . . . no one really knows?

I think the number is not individual, but rather a count of pixel players. From a marketing and programming point of view I think that counting the tables and the tally (which they already do) would be the easiest and most effective way. If they don't do it that way I would be surprised.

Thanks for the input...

During the last two months, new-player signups have averaged 2,455 a day, and PartyGaming remains confident that it will achieve its goal of signing up 800,000 players this year.

The number of unique active players increased from 443,000 in September to 487,000 in November and the daily average number of players increased from 131,000 in the third quarter to 138,000 the last two months.

PartyGaming will release its full fourth quarter report at the end of January.

Bolded the important part. I think 180k over hte whole day is in line with primetime having ~60k distinct players, not player-tables.

Thanks. According to those stats, my ROI would be twice as high if I played during peak hours, I think. I play mostly from 14:00 to 18:00 and sometimes in the night/morning. (party poker time, that is)
