As a birthday gift for my brother, which one is better and why? I know lots of it depends on what kinds of games he likes, but if you had to choose one, which would it be?

[/ QUOTE ]

DS wins because of the games. PSP games are [censored].

I'd vote other: original Gameboy. Tetris and those old Final Fantasy games make it worthwhile, and it plays for a long time on a set of batteries.

Blah, it's also not rechargeable and those games can be easily emulated on the GBA and DS with a backlit screen. Voting for original gameboy is hipster retard logic... like drinking PBR.

You're on to something. PBR is pretty bad-ass. I'm just worried about spending so much for a handheld thingie that lacks battery life and is expensive. Perhaps I'm just a cheap bastard though, it's a distinct possibility.

Well here's the thing. Nintendo products don't lack battery life. Try 'em

While this is true, I mainly use the PSP to play the full library of SNES, Genesis, GBA, Neo Geo games (you can also play Atari/Amiga/Turbographix/MSx games as well). Not to mention there is a program written for the psp called the Ted Zero browser, which u set up so your psp can connect to your computer at any wifi spot and grab/delete/move files from your psp to your computer or vice versa. Pretty slick program.

PSP will eventually come out with more games, but I just like being able to play a crap load of older games, watch movies, music and web browse. Not to mention I love the look of the psp.

Don't you have to have the old firmware to run homebrew? Did you downgrade or is yours simply older. Word is you can't run GTA or SOCOM without upgrading, which is gay.
