Should this be a routine laydown pf?
Preflop: Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
I'm UTG and raise (.75) MP3 raises to $2. I reraise to $8. I've no reads on villan at this point. MP3 rereraises to $24 and is all-in. |

Re: Should this be a routine laydown pf?
I dont think so at this limit. Many players will do this with TT, JJ, KK, AA, AK, and even 99 or worse. Getting 2-1 pot odds I would call, if they have KK or AA oh well, if not you're in either good shape or most likely great shape. I'd call at this limit without any reads.

Re: Should this be a routine laydown pf?
Personally I'd call the (first) re-raise and see what happens on the flop. If I'm going to raise and he comes over the top I'm laying this hand down to an unknown player (or a good player) and I'd consider calling against an LAG (although I wouldn't always call). Maybe I'm weak, but that's the way I'd play it.
J EDITED TO ADD: In most cases you're looking at a coinflip at best and there are better spots to get your money in (LAG's will make this with a broader range of hands such as JJ-TT, maybe 99...some crazy LAG's will make it with any two cards so it becomes profitable to call in those situations) |

Re: Should this be a routine laydown pf?
This is why you shouldn't put in that 3rd raise pf, even with AA or KK. As played this is an easy call unless you know villian to be an uber-tight nit.
