Default Re: Card Player to offer health insurance

I pay $90/mo for catastrophic coverage (found on ehealthinsurance.com as well). I have a $1500 yearly deductable, after which I am responsible for nothing.

I'm pretty healthy and don't go to the doctor that often and don't need prescriptions. If I do get sick, the worst case scenerio, I pay $2,600/yr, which averages to a little over $215/mo. Of course, I need to have the cash available to pay for any doctor visits or medication I need, but that's kept in savings.

Coinsurance is bad. With a 20% coinsurance, if you get a $100k medical bill, you owe $20k.

If you're young and healthy this is probably a good way to go.

Once you get to say 35-40 I suspect an HMO or PPO would end up being cheaper.
