Default Table BB/100 on Gametime+

Can anyone explain how the table average stat of BB/100 works/applies to the table? I know obviously how it applies in the player stats, but seeing it for a table is a new thing. Help appreciated!

I think it's just the average of everyone's winrate. I'm not sure how this stat would be useful though.

it would be zero if you're playing at a table of un-pokertracked players. correct?

Yep, my belief is that (if you don't include your stats, you want this number to be as negative as possible = lots of fish)

The stat is pretty much useless. When you are running good the table is going to have a negative BB/100. When you are running bad, the table is going to have a positive BB/100.

In the long run it would always be slightly negative because of the rake.

You aren't going to have enough hands on everyone to know the true rate.

Does this stat take in to account the history of all the players? if so, you have an idea longer term than right now how the table is doing collectively against you.

Yes I agree. Useless because I player may play bad but have tremendous luck in the few hand you got about him.

How many hands do you have against the player you've seen the most often in your PT database? 500? 1000? How about the average player?

What would you think if someone came to the forum and made a post about his BB/100 after 1000 hands? Could you even conclude whether he was a winning player?

I think sometimes we're quick to call the small sample size police on our own stats, but not the ones we have of others using PT/GT.
