Default Stars $215 NL Hand. 98 suited: Choose your own adventure

Hey fellas.

Here's a hand from this afternoon's Stars $200 NL. At the end of the post, you'll find three options. Depending on which you choose, proceed to either the OPTION A, OPTION B or OPTION C thread. Or, if you don't want to play my silly game, just tell me how you'd play the hand in general. Thanks!

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t30 (9 handed)

UTG+1 (t5605)
MP1 (t2735)
MP2 (t2440)
MP3 (t3030)
CO (t2280)
Button (t2260)
SB (t2455)
Hero (t1685)
UTG (t2340)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls t30, UTG+1 calls t30, 1 fold, MP2 calls t30, MP3 calls t30, 2 folds, SB completes, Hero checks,

Flop: (t180) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (6 players)
SB checks. Do you (A) Bet or slightly overbet the pot, (B) Check, (C) Go all in.

Default OPTION A

You bet 210 into the 180 pot.

It's folded around to the SB who goes all in. You have 1445 left and the pot is 1835 including the opponent's bet. Your play?

Option B. It's checked around. The turn is [6s 7h 8s] [7c].

SB bets 300. The pot is 480. You have 1655. Your play?

Blech. I tend to hemorrhage chips when I flop top pair and a straight draw on flops like these.

My most recent experience, if I may hijack my own response for a moment:

K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] in an unraised BB with 5 limpers. Flop comes 9 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. The smart move would have been to check and watch the action, but I felt some sort of suicidal need to bet into the field. Disaster ensued.

I see you also have 5 limpers. You also have a 2 tone flop. You also probably met with disaster. It can't be too far wrong to check/fold to any significant action here.

I would check the flop with the intention of raising any bet that looks weak. But you really have to be careful 6 people limped into this pot and your semi-bluff could easily run into a real hand.

The SB's overbet of the pot with all those draws out screams of a 7 or possibly a straight and I don't think you are gonna get him off of either of those plus there are still 4 people left to act so you have to fold this one.

SB checks. I bet 210 into the 180 pot. Folded to SB who goes all-in. I call. I suck! I'm not even sure I like how I played this pre-flop.

(sb has flopped a set of 6's)
