Running bad or playing bad, beginning to wonder Hand #1
Live 5-150 spread limit. 3/5 blinds, $350 capped buy-in. Most of the players at the table know me... I have a tight and aggressive image. Most of the table are donks to one degree or another.
Table is playing very weak/passive, lots of limpers in 6-9 people for the minimum with any two cards. But the action can heat up quick post flop. This is the first hand I have played... PF: Everyone limps to me ($350) on the button with K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I limp, SB and BB come along. Flop: K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($45 in pot). Checked to UTG+2 (~$400) who leads for $15, folds to MP ($110) who calls, folds to me and I raise to $60 total, folds to who MP tanks and I know then he has two diamonds, another player calls the clock, I tell MP that his flush draw is no good and he pushes AI for another $55, I call. |

Looks fine postflop.

Why would you possibly say that (at the table, not the previous post)?

Re: Running bad or playing bad, beginning to wonder Hand #1
Looks fine except for voluntarily putting money in with K9o. Why would you do this? You are not going to flop top two like this more than once in 50 (maybe much worse, I don't know). A king-high board is probably no good, 9-high board is not good for you in a multi-way pot.

I tell MP that his flush draw is no good [/ QUOTE ] Don't tap the glass. And fold PF. |

What hands are you a 9:1 dog against? I think I play pretty well post flop and read people and hands well too. I am not too likely to get into trouble with this hand. |

Why would you possibly say that (at the table, not the previous post)? [/ QUOTE ] Because I wanted him to call I was about 65% to win against a flush draw. That is a big edge on the flop. BTW Pokerstove shows it as 68.9% against his hand. Even if he holds the A of diamonds I am still at 67% equity on the flop. |

I dont like the preflop call...say the board comes 9 high with draw and there is a bet and a few callers...this puts you into a position.

How can you not call when you are getting 8:1 or 9:1 on your money if the small blind completes? [/ QUOTE ] So, in other words, you're limping here with any two? Just so we're clear... [ QUOTE ] What hands are you a 9:1 dog against? [/ QUOTE ] You're not up against a hand, you're up against 9 or 10 hands. Assuming nobody even has anything really resembling a real hand: http://twodimes.net/h/?z=1326610 pokenum -h ks 9h - as 4c - 6h 6s - tc 8h - kd td - 2d 2c - qd 9d - jc 4s Holdem Hi: 376992 enumerated boards cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV Ks 9h 20621 5.47 345933 91.76 10438 2.77 0.068 As 4c 55708 14.78 316309 83.90 4975 1.32 0.154 6s 6h 78887 20.93 297838 79.00 267 0.07 0.209 Tc 8h 28087 7.45 343263 91.05 5642 1.50 0.082 Kd Td 49233 13.06 315198 83.61 12561 3.33 0.147 2c 2d 59634 15.82 317091 84.11 267 0.07 0.158 Qd 9d 37200 9.87 336273 89.20 3519 0.93 0.103 4s Jc 27101 7.19 344916 91.49 4975 1.32 0.078 Now we'll improve opponent's holdings a little, but still nothing special: http://twodimes.net/h/?z=1326620 pokenum -h ks 9h - as ts - 6h 6s - 9s 8s - kc qc - 2d 2c - qd 9d - jc tc Holdem Hi: 376992 enumerated boards cards win %win lose %lose tie %tie EV Ks 9h 14485 3.84 357369 94.79 5138 1.36 0.044 As Ts 67073 17.79 306635 81.34 3284 0.87 0.182 6s 6h 74330 19.72 302336 80.20 326 0.09 0.197 9s 8s 22504 5.97 351990 93.37 2498 0.66 0.062 Kc Qc 53786 14.27 317831 84.31 5375 1.43 0.149 2c 2d 62042 16.46 314624 83.46 326 0.09 0.165 Qd 9d 42815 11.36 329270 87.34 4907 1.30 0.119 Jc Tc 29452 7.81 344256 91.32 3284 0.87 0.082 Really, you're hoping for, what, two-pair? A flopped house? Yeah, a miracle flop will get paid off but not nearly often enough to make up for all the chip spewing you're going to be doing with a dominated hand. Edit: And I just noticed I only did 8 hands, so you're even worse off than that... [ QUOTE ] I am not too likely to get into trouble with this hand. [/ QUOTE ] Then why are you posting it? |
