It's a stretch, but would you guys consider 'Groundhog Day' as a Christmas film? It's got snow and it's a sort of 'holiday' film.

Then Christmas Story might have some competition

Santa with Muscles

Plot Outline: An evil millionaire (Hulk Hogan) gets amnesia and then belives that he is Santa Claus.

What could be better than this?

I don't mind pr0n films using real film titles with a slight change, but I hate real films using pr0ny titles.

I had such a disappointment a few years back when I went to see a double bill of 'snatch' and 'shaft'

Lethal Weapon.

EDIT: I choose this above Die Hard because it's a better movie.

one of my favorite comedies, but it doesn't qualify.

For the record, I'd vote Its a Wonderful Life and Die Hard over Christmas Story, though I wonder if Die Hard should be available. I think you need to define Christmas Film before you pick your final 8.

Before Garrison Keillor, there was Jean Shepherd. Anybody remember Jean Shepherd's America shown on PBS? A Christmas Story in a landslide.

Do not watch this movie--you'll put your eye out.

I used to listen to Shephard every Weds. night on WOR when he was live from the Gaslight (I think it was the Gaslight). I would hate to see Shepherd rediscovered. If my wife found out why I refer to her family as the Bumpuses, it might mean trouble. Big trouble.

I'm off to the Orpheum for my free Gravy Boat. Later.

Glad to see "It's a Wonderful Life" is getting more support this year than it usually does in this annual tradition.
