Default Call or fold? KK w/ Ace on flop

Bay101 $50 R/A, 92 players, 260 rebuys, 80+ addons. There about 35 players remaining.

I have about 3 stacks of t100s and about another t2500 in other chips (a little over 8k total). I’m in the top 3 of chips at the table but there aren’t any real shorties. Blinds are 200/400.

EP player limps (he has about t4000)
Folded to me in CO. I have K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] and raise one stack or t2000.
Button, SB, BB folds.
EP calls.

Flop is A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (pot is about t4600)
EP pushes all-in another t2000. (pot now t6600).

I go into the tank. EP has been very aggressive but has not had to show down a lot of hands. He recently lost over half his stack when he went heads up (AA vs his AKo).

I think I’m ahead on the flop and that he’s pushing a draw (although he could have made Aces up if he was playing a weak ace.) Pot is giving me over 3:1 to call.

What’s my action?

pretty read dependent, you think he has an A like 75% of the time?

i dunno, i'd guess he doesnt have an A often enough.

I would call here because of the price. Plus you have backdoor nut flush draw which gives you a little extra equity if he has an ace. This is an ace a lot of the time though.

This was a tough laydown for me. I know I was getting a good price but my gut was telling me that I was either beat or about to get sucked out on.

I folded but muck my cowboys face up.

UTG flips over 88 for flopped set. He said he thought I had AK and wanted me to call.

too bad you didn't get the feeling that you were about to get sucked out on before your pre-flop raise. you could have just mucked your cowboys and saved some chips

I think this is very results oriented thinking. I don't know if I fold there.

When someone pulls a stop-n-go on me I'll often treat it just as if they had re-raised me all-in preflop and call. I don't want that to be a legitimate weapon against me especially when getting 3-1 from the pot. I call on principle. It's insulting for someone to call off HALF their chips PF and then try to move me off my hand postflop and i won't stand for it.

Maybe so. I went with a read instead of the math on this. There's a range of hands that have me beat with that flop. I don't think I'm weak tight but I can read aflop pretty good.

Thanks for your insight.
