Default I fill up on the turn

Canterbury 8/16. Villain is new to the table. He seems more interested in watching the Twins game than in this hand.

Villain opens in EP, I have 99 in MP and 3-bet. He calls.

Flop HU
AK9r

check, bet, call

Turn: A
check, bet, call

River: 2 (no flush)
check, bet, he c/r's me, I call.

Yes?

I'm 3-betting and calling a cap. He may have a better fullhouse, but AQ,AJ,AT also comes to mind.

3bet. He is more likely to have a weaker ace than AA (1 combo), KK (3 combos), AK (8 combos), or A9 (2 combos). Especially becasue KK/AK/AA usually cap and A9 often doesn't raise from EP.

Apparently everyone likes a 3-bet here, but what is forgotten is that this is LIVE poker. I can see this dude, and I can read his tells. I don't have PV or GT in front of me, but I have other forms of info. His mannerisms and his facial expressions. The fact that he seems to be more interested in the Twins game here is a massive tell. Also, I 3-bet preflop. What am I 3-betting with here that he beats on that board? Or that I am betting the river with? AQ? 99? His river c/r (and the way in which he delivered it), screamed monster. So I called. He showed KK, and wins the minimum. Slowplaying is for suckers.

What is forgotten is that we can't read your mind. If we're supposed to be making a decision based on a read, maybe you should include it in the post?
