Default simple QQ hand

$100 NL (.5/1)
At a table of loose/tight passives

Hero (~$100)
MP
CO (~$120)

Hero is UTG with Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. Hero raises to $4.

MP calls, CO (very loose) calls, BB calls.

flop: (~$12)

4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

BB checks, Hero bets $8(?), MP folds, CO calls, BB folds.

turn: (~28)

2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]

What's the Hero's plan here?
1. If we bet, how much?
2. Is check-raise an option? (I wouldn't, esp vs a passive)
3. What if we are raised?
4. What's your plan on the river? (vs flush/overcard)
5. What if we bet, are called, and the flush completes, how do we play the river?

1. I usually bet around $20ish.
2. c/r is not an option IMO. Bloats the pot, your OOP, and you want to go to showdown.
3. I don't know- its opponent dependent, but I usually fold these to unknowns.
4. If the river bricks, I usually c/c. Stacks are big enough to block.
5. If the flush comes, I usually block.

Bet $15 on the turn. Fire a blocking bet on the river for another $15 regardless of what comes. Fold to any significant raise on the turn. And fold to any raise on the river if a flush card hits.

If there weren't two hearts, I'd probably check the turn and bet $15 on the river.

EDIT (to actually answer your questions):
What's the Hero's plan here?

1. If we bet, how much?
$15, which is 1/2 pot for pot control and make a flush draw incorrect to call.

2. Is check-raise an option? (I wouldn't, esp vs a passive) No. Bloats pot out of position (as another poster mentioned).

3. What if we are raised?
Read dependent - especially if it's a min-raise - but typically fold to any raise after the cold call on the turn.

4. What's your plan on the river?
Blocking bet for $15 and fold to a raise, especially if its a flush/overcard.

5. What if we bet, are called, and the flush completes, how do we play the river?
Blocking bet and fold to a raise.

You bet $20, CO Calls.

The pot is now $68.

River: A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

How much do you bet as a blocking bet? Would you make a different play if the river wasn't an overcard? (say J [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img])

If they are loose/passive then you need to be betting for value. Checkraising is bad because he likely won't bet. I would be close to full pot here. The 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] is an awesome card for you. If he's passive you can feel great about folding if he raises you.

Say you've bet pot on the turn and now the river blanks, the pot is $84 and we have $60 behind. I like sticking it in. Loose passives call you with tons of worse hands. If the river is a heart/A then it sucks. I'd ocnsider a K a blank though.
