Default Anyone find a fold here with JJ?

UB $5 + .50 + rebuys.

Blinds at this point are at 2k/4k, with a 400 chip ante.

Tourney started with 1100, we're near the bubble at 80. I'm not playing for 80th, I'm playing for the final table. [EDIT: Placed 14th, $100 profit. Not bad, considering my luck with races in the last 30...]

Relevant chip stacks:

Hero (CO): 82k with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
BB: 29k
MP: 39k

Preflop:

MP raises to 10K,
Hero (CO) calls.
BB goes all-in for 29K.
MP goes all-in for 39K (10K more).

Hero must call 20K into ~70K, with also the possibility of a slight save with a 20K sidepot.

Hero ?

If you think the flat call of the first raise is wrong, let me know -- but even if you do, pretend you flat-called like I did. What do you do with the raise?

Push over the first raise. Call the second.

JB, thanks for the response. I guess this is an easy call... but as a follow-up, how often do you expect to be behind when the cards are turned up?

You have the potodds to call, but I would not be surprised if you are behind. I dont think the call with JJ is wrong, but if you thought you would call an all-in, it might have been better to push yourself instead.

When I get JJ, I will play it pretty weak before flop. Its very easy to lose a lot of money with it.

If the other players had the same stack size as you, this would be an easy fold though (if they went all-in and had you covered).

Push over the first raise and call the second, as someone else said.

I think you're hoping to see TT and a big A, but there's a reasonable chance that you need to find one of your two outs against one of them.

MP's open for 10k, and 25% of his stack, is either a feeble steal shot or a lure for more action. BB's over the top in a $5 mtt could just be a "let's play a big pot with my suited ace!" Your jacks are good enough to be in this pot.
