Default TT seems to be trouble sometimes...

Hands like this make me kinda sick to the stomach. Cause for one, it confuses me, and two, I feel I am doing the wrong thing each time the situation comes up.

Villian : 27 / 3 / 1.5 (after 33 hands) not much of a real read on him at the time.

Recently I feel that my major leaks are playing my 88-JJ incorrectly, and well, playing QJo for any reason as it, and QTo are the biggest losing hands in after 10k+ hands.

Anyone care to offer advice as to how to proceed wit hthe above hand? Also if people could post some QJ hands that are played properly so i can have a look as to what exactly im doing wrong with it, would be great.

This hand is not tricky because you actually have a very good flop for your hand. you hold two stoppers to the only draw out there, and you're realistically only toast to a Q right now.

Your two options here are to 3-bet or to call. You are getting good odds to continue to the turn where you should re-evaluate. You're also raising UTG and a three-bet could signal strength make your opponent to slow down on later streets.

I would 3-bet here normally, hoping to turn a nice card (8,T,K,J) and take a free card. depending on my opponent I may also bet the turn, but as you stated, you have no reads.

I think raising has the best overall value, and calling here is the second best option. Folding I would say is mostly out of the question.

3bet. A lot of villains are going to bet this flop. They know there is a good chance you dont have a 9. If he caps, I would think there is a good chance he has the 9 or Q. Then you can re evaluate on the turn.

Give me a realistic range of hands we are ahead of here, it i think the list is rather small.

Call down. We'll get good value out of his bluffs, lose the minimum if he has it. Being heads up is the key to this.
