Re: 5-10, KK hand.
I would betchya you make this hand up...
No, I didn't. It was in the afternoon, and my wife and kid left for somewhere. I decided to play, and after I logged on, I got really drowsy, and decided to just play one lap and then take a nap. But then when the blinds came around, I got a pass on the BB, so I had to play one more lap because I can't pass up a bargain. So I'm in that drowsy state, trying to stay out of trouble for one lap, and this hand comes up. |

Results.
Well, there is one street that I definately misplayed. The call preflop was pretty bad. I think if you ask the question, will you win this hand at least 20% of the time, and how do you feel about getting 4-1 on your preflop action? It is pretty clear, that not capping preflop is going to cost me money.
The flop as most people said, played itself. The turn, was interesting, and I called, but I am still not sure that that is the right play. I didn't raise, because I feared a three bet, but the interesting thing is, if I do get three bet here, I am very close to having the pot odds to call and try to spike a king on the river. The problem with that, is that it will be hard to lay down my hand for one bet on the river, so by raising the turn, I am really committing three more bets to this pot. By the same token, if it is right for everyone to call to try and catch a two outer now, then the pot is big enough that I should try and make it wrong for them to call on the turn, so I should probably have raised the turn, and put maximum pressure on everyone who was chasing a two outer at this point. The river, I think was an easy choice, although I wasn't completely convinced that I was ahead. As it turns out, I bet the river, and everyone folded within about two seconds. Good luck, play well, Bob T. |

Re: 5-10, KK hand.
Pretty good analysis for your 5th post.
I thought it was still possible, after the flop that UTG had AA. He might have called the flop, hoping to get a checkraise in on the turn. He already limp reraised, so he must have some tendencies to play trickily. |

Re: 5-10, KK hand.
Yes, I should have capped preflop.
On the turn, the pot size makes my raise almost a freeroll. If I get reraised, I still am not losing theorhetical dollars, because the pot is big enough that I have the odds to draw to my two outer. If the BB has 66 or 33, I have 4 outs, instead of 2. |

Re: 5-10, KK hand.
I think limp reraisers have AA a lot more than 10% of the time. But I think it is still a cap preflop.
I don't think you can fold to a turn threebet. By that time, there would be at least 20 BBs in the pot, and you would have the odds to draw to a two outer. |

So why no cap PF? Sleepyness?
I hope that is my excuse. I am sure that not capping preflop was a pretty weak play. |

Yeah it happens to the best of us...
I accidentally posted UTG, yesterday. I would like to blame it on x-mouse, but honestly, I was too tired to be playin... Catch- |
