77 out of position
Level 2 of Empire Happy Hour
Seat 8 is the button I have 2150 main villian has approx 1000 Trny:14933346 Level:3 Blinds (15/30) ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to KingDan [ 7s 7d ] UTG LIMP [30]. folds. folds. folds. I call. folds. Villian raises [90]. folded back to me I call ** Dealing Flop ** [ Qc, 5h, 5c ] KingDan bets [125]. I don't like the bet. I don't know what it serves. If he calls I don't learn much about my hand. He may fold some of his raising hands, but I do not think he folds enough to make it profitable. What is a better line for me OOP against the raiser? Edit: I could have sworn this was MTT. |

Re: 77 out of position
Insta-fold. You missed a set and he bet pretty strong into you. If he hit the flop he is way ahead, or he might have a higher pocket.

Re: 77 out of position
I think you did the right thing in betting. If he's a smarter player, he won't call you with a flush draw, so if he calls that pot bet, you're probably beat, or facing AK. Would he call a pot bet with 6's? The probability of him having 6's is low, and any other pot-bet-calling hand probably has you beat if there are 2 overcards on the board (the turn card would have to be taken into account).

Re: 77 out of position
I got 2nd.
I was outplayed/outlucked when it was down to final 3. I got lucky a few times at the final table, but I'll take it. PS citanul can you move this to MTT? |
