scenario: party 6 max 50 NL.

my stack - 85, holding Qd Jd on the button

folded to me and i raise 4x BB $2, looking like blind stealing

SB folds BB (a decent player) calls

flop comes 8d 5c Td

SB bets $2, i raise to $6, SB calls

turn comes 2d

SB bets $0.5, i call $0.5

river comes Kh

SB bets $6, I raise to $20, SB goes all in (about same as my stack)


my action? and how did play this hand til the river?

Don't fold on the river, but why just call on the turn? Btw, where in Irvine are you from? Do you go to UCI?

because i put him on top pair, his turn bet $0.5 looked really weird, i felt like i had the nuts at that point and was just slow playing

Turn bet could generally be the Ad trying to see a cheap river diamond. Make him pay for it. I call the river, you're seeing a worse flush (suited connector?) or a set enough of the time to justify. If he doesn't give you a lot of credit, he might just think "oh, his AK finally hit" when he sees your river raise and push with even worse than set/flush.

Oh, and your bball team just lost to Cal State Stanislaus. Ouch. Not that my boys (Cal Poly, 4th year) are gonna do much better this year.
