Re: I want a unique pet
Right. Have a female rat. Buy her very young, they can get pregnant after the first 5 weeks.

Get one of these:
They require close attention, though. There's a strict feeding schedule and they're averse to water. |

Re: I want a unique pet
I have a huge new stoke on Sugargliders. Google em, think little flying squirrels but not as nasty. They're pretty playful, quiet, and don't smell awful. It's hard to find a breeder of em though, if you do the price tag is usually around 100$ for a baby (on the east coast.) Girls are obsessed with em as a bonus, but you may get the "squirrel master" zings, especially if you carry it around in your pocket.
Chinchillas would be dope if they weren't usually nasty and smell like sht. They go for about 200$. Exotic turtles are pretty cool too but you can't really play with em or anything. Very soothing to watch though. Ferrets smell awful to me, but some people can deal with it. They're moderatly cheap. Also, if you can find one, descented skunks apparently make great pets. |

Re: I want a unique pet
You should get a hermit crab. They are interesting little creatures and very low maintenance.
