The dude on top of his store was probably pretty glad that he had the hi-cap pistol that every US Senator and most of the reps from CA said he had no business owning. I consider a real gun safe part of the expense of owning guns. I also have a keypad safe about 12in x 8in x 6 in. that I can put anywhere - this operates by pressing buttons in a sequence and I can open it in the dark in a couple seconds- these run about 150$. I do not like trigger locks. The only one I have any use for operates with lighted buttons rather than a key. But for the most part, why have it anywhere but on you? For me, the safe is where I store my long guns and whatever I'm not carrying.
