You guys don't seem to understand. Party is leaning on all the websites. I found out it may take up to a few weeks for Euro to change but it is going to happen to all the skins.

I just posted this elsewhere, but thought it pertains to what you say. They already have it in their T&C's that getting caught breaking any rule in their terms, such as the banned software under discussion, can lead to closure of all skin accounts as well as confiscation of funds held in all skins accounts.

[ QUOTE ]
21. Forfeiture & Account Closure.

21.1 THE COMPANY RESERVES THE RIGHT, IN ITS UNFETTERED DISCRETION AND IN RELATION TO YOUR ACCOUNT, ANY RELATED ESP ACCOUNT, ANY ACCOUNTS YOU MAY HAVE WITH OTHER SITES AND/OR CASINOS AND/OR SERVICES OWNED OR OPERATED BY OR ON BEHALF OF THE COMPANY AND ANY SERVICES THAT SHARE THE SHARED GAME/TABLE PLATFORM, TO WITHHOLD YOUR ACCOUNT BALANCE, SUSPEND YOUR ACCOUNT, AND RECOVER ANY PAY-OUTS, BONUSES AND WINNINGS IF:

(i) You are in breach of any term of this Agreement;

(ii) The Company should become aware that you have played at any other online gaming site or services and are suspected of fraud, collusion or unlawful or improper activity;

[/ QUOTE ]

So getting caught at one skin could be trouble at all of them. But who really knows if they are going to be hard assed about this.

Absolutely not! They have threatened my acocunt to siezure as well. I have made some calls, and have decided to simply erase and uninstall the software, since this is my living and my only job.

I for one seriously doubt Party is going to remove 20,000 accounts (this is literally close to the number we are talking about that use third party software) and decide that PokerStars is going to be the new biggest site. The facts are, that no one has had their accounts removed. It's easy to send a threatening e-mail, it's hard to follow through on it and lose millions of dollars at a time when you are trying to stay the top dog.

If Party removes these accounts the guys at PokerStars will be having a huge party of their own.

I, for one, hope their next step is to get rid of observed hand histories and go back to forcing users to request HHs by email. I don't care if they ban use of GT+/PV or the likes. We can get the same info exported from PT into the notes field anyway.

And when you move there, it's only time before they take similar actions.

I think the Party party might be equal as the competition will be even softer there ... and I expect it to be +EV for many of us who can play either way.

Default If you are a good player...

If you are a good player, you should be happy about the existence of pokeredge, even if you don't use it. One of its main uses is table selection: people use it to avoid other good players and try to find tables full of fish. This means that other good payers will see your stats and avoid your tables. This benefits you both-- it is better to play at separate tables where you will both make money than to butt heads against each other.

I think you are looking at short term benefits of PokerEdge and ignoring some longer term deteriments.
