I was going to say, Zinzan, it looked like you had something good. I don't like AJ against his range of hands from UTG.

OOOOh what do you have now against his all in raise?

Default too tight, or correct laydown?

just folded 77. would have pushed with it, but couldn't bring myself to call all-in with it.

if it hadn't been raised, would you have pushed with it?

And now, with this money ladder, do I wait for the blinds to kill the short stack?

I would have folded it, but I play a little tighter than most in these situations. My game's strenght is its patience, I don't know if you watched the 50K the other night when I got 4th,but I was shortstacked the entire final table, probably more like the last 13 or so and waited til I picked up really good hands. When we got down to 4 I was way short, but actually fought back to be near 2nd and 3rd but then ran KTs on the button into the AK bb.

Are you talking about the AJ or the 88 I lost against the small stack?

I thought the small stack had to make a move and I probably had the better hand, and w/ just a couple successful blind steals, he'd catch me, so I called. Got unlucky.

But then, now with me being the short-stack, I thought I had to take a chance with the AJ. Obviously a mistake, but I would have had to pick a spot eventually.

I have to admit that, once I got to the final two tables, I never really made up my mind whether I was shooting for first or second, or playing to climb the ladder.

Thanks for all the sweat, guys. This was my biggest cash win, and I have lots to learn.

I just sat down at his table at some point and had a smaller stack... around t17k... blinds were about 2k/4k, and I had to make a steal at some point. i was in the cutoff with QJ and pushed. he called with AK, and I hit a Queen. He was livid. (two hours later, he's still livid)

I later took him out when I called his AK all-in with 66 and hit a set.
