Great Question:

1. HBO Hard Knocks - Ravens/Cowboys why did they stop? The behind the scenes NFL Training Camp show was AWESOME.
1. Tenacious D - That's a Cosmic Shame
1. Prophet - Ran for 4 shows or so on Fox, it was awesome, they replay on TRIO once in a while.
1. Sports Night

0. Twin Peaks - Best Network Show Ever

The problem with the first series was that it wasn't co-written by Ben Elton (this was back in the days before he sold-out).

The first series flopped so they cut the budget hugely, got rid of the outdoor, location shots and brought Ben Elton in to write with Richard Curtis, the result speaks for itself.

I've read some of his books and they are a decent read, he is a much better writer than comedian.

He has calmed down a bit was relatively fromm the centre ground when on question time the other week.

I suspect they just ran out of interesting new storylines for future episodes and correctly thought new seasons would be basically carbon copies that wouldn't keep their core audience.

I watched the first season of Dream Job on ESPN. I thought it was the greatest. I then watched the first episode of the second season and having seen the first season, it wasn't interesting at all and I never watched again. I suspect Hard Knocks would suffer from the same problem.
