FWIW, I thought the ending was good. Matador cashing in and the witness out of the picture leaves you wondering......who REALLY won.

[/ QUOTE ]

Matador gets away with murder, but didn't he sign everything over to a pole dancing wannabe?

Default Did Matador Take a Dive?

My question is how much do you think the Matador made betting on Eddie to win? Looks like he bet at least $1.5 million? Had to be at least 5:1, so did the Matador know Eddie had trips to his two pair so he could make a cool $7.5 million + the $3.5 second place money? Didn't he say to Eddie that even though sometimes you loose you win?

Did they ever give the backstories on Eddie vs. the Matador and Clark vs. the Matador? They showed Miami getting in a game as a little kid against him and inferred she got busted and Clark and Eddie both said they got cleaned out by the Matador but I don't recall ever seeing anything specific about them (certainly not anything specific enough for the personal vendettas the show was based on). Did I just miss that stuff or did they never come out and say it?

They showed Eddie losing to Matador and Seymour telling him "you didn't just lose, you were cheated". Clarke is a mystery still I guess.

Default Great finish to Season 1 - and primed for Season 2

OK,

call me a sucker, but I thought the series finished on a high note. Good character development and a nice "leave them hanging" for more ending for this series. Look where we're at

- Matador starts a psuedo face turn (talking about playing straight)
- Will Matador be convicted, or will he walk
- if he walks, who is in trouble?
- Lowball's back, and he's bad. Or is he?
- Eddie is the cosumate hungry pro eager to prove himself
- Clark and Miami still an item, and still poker hungry
- Casio president (forget his name) is very worried, who will rat on him, who won't
- Dee Everest (Don's little girl) still carries Eddie's jock, where will this go... Will love/lust triumph?

I'm getting psyched for Season 2, and 3,4,5,6.

This is the next Southpark, humor for adults...

Yes, Eddie got cheated when the Matador's KK beat Eddie's QQ.
