That's a good idea, but I think it should all be kept in the weekly thread. Otherwise there will be two MLL threads keeping strategy off the front page. If we post it in the weekly thread, sure, Pax will have to skim over some match requests to find wins and losses, but other than that, it should work fine.

I really dislike the "I'm available right now" trend anyway. It's too passive. I like people who are actively IMing and PMing other people for a match, not waiting back letting other people come to them.

I plan to post the thread every Sunday-ish. This first week's thread will be posted Sunday evening, since I'm going out of town for the weekend.

Eh, I kind of like having both available. I mean, sometimes I might find myself with an unexpectedly free couple of hours one evening and would like to get a match in. I plan to do a fair bit of challenging and accepting challenges, but I don't think we should discourage "I want to play someone right now" posts.

I don't discourage them, but it's the people who skim the thread looking for people to play who turn me on.

Off topic : Anyone feel like heading to the Rainbow in West Wendover, NV for the weekend? I'm heading there in 2 hours to GAMBOOOOOOL!

Wendover!? I thought I was the only one around here who would even consider going there. Where do you live?

Let me know how it is -- I've driven through that beautiful little truck stop of a town, but never played there.

Southern Idaho. I posted a thread in Brick and Mortar saying that I was going to Jackpot (right on the border), but the consensus was "dude, that place is a dive, at least go to Wendover." Jackpot is the halfway mark of the trip so we'll pull over and check the place out, but then it's on to Wendover. I know it's nothing special, and the games they spread are shitty, but it's what I've got.

Check out these games : 2/5 (too low), 10/20 (huge jump), 20/40. That's our choices. Montego Bay spreads a 2/10 (!!!) game that the lady assured me is not spread limit. How in the hell did they come up with a 2/10 game, that is beyond me. The implied odds would justify taking a card off with nearly anything on the flop. Why doesn't anyone spread a nice 5/10 anymore, that's what I'd like to sit at. I'll probably end up at the 10/20.

Damn, I'm in western CO and if I had a little more notice, I might take the 6.5 hour drive for a little gamboooooooool.

Never been to Wendover, we usually go to Mesquite.

Well if'n any of ya are lookin for a cupcake to start the season I'm your whoopin boy.

Two matches so far....0-2 so far. [img]/images/graemlins/frown.gif[/img]

Match 1 against 2+2 wannabe. about 10 min/30 some odd hands.(aint got my PT in front of me but that's close enuf) completely embarrassin.

Match 2 agin Russ McGinley. Faired a little better but he still crushed me. 55min/~150 hands (i think)
