IMO it puts a brand on you that says "i'm really young and have a problem describing how i'm feeling, so i'll just put "gay" in there so everyone will know that I don't like this thread, table or whatever. Say why you don't like the thread. Or when you get older and you say "this is a gay wine tasting party" you may end up standing in a corner talking to yourself.
