Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (10/26) (50/100 NL)
I have also heard that the house juice taken out of entry fees does not all go to the dealers, because, as you mentioned, floor people and managers get a huge chunk of it. One dealer at Borgata told me this years tip of $30k made theri overall earnings $50 per hour as compared to Negreanu's tip of 60k which made the earnings $100 per hour (seems kinda high)
But I can see how a tip can really affect the hourly. I wouldn't complain about $50 per hour though |

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (10/26) (50/100 NL)
Memorable Quote from Reservoir Dogs
Nice Guy Eddie: C'mon, throw in a buck! Mr. Pink: Uh-uh, I don't tip. Nice Guy Eddie: You don't tip? Mr. Pink: Nah, I don't believe in it. Nice Guy Eddie: You don't believe in tipping? Mr. Blue: You know what these chicks make? They make [censored]. Mr. Pink: Don't give me that. She don't make enough money that she can quit. Nice Guy Eddie: I don't even know a [censored] Jew who'd have the balls to say that. Let me get this straight: you don't ever tip? Mr. Pink: I don't tip because society says I have to. All right, if someone deserves a tip, if they really put forth an effort, I'll give them something a little something extra. But this tipping automatically, it's for the birds. As far as I'm concerned, they're just doing their job. |

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (10/26) (50/100 NL)
To combine posts:
The Pokerblue girls have been off the show for at least 3 weeks. I think the tournament staff gets 40% of the 3% for the dealers. If the ME reaches their 8000 person cap, Harrah's will take 4.8m out of the prize pool, half of that goes to the dealers/tournament staff. In the first WSOP tournament, (for casino staff) they're taking 10% of the $500 buyin which is pretty obscene, since it should be a juice free event. |

Re: \"Official\" Live at the Bike thread (10/26) (50/100 NL)
When this was discussed repeatedly after the ME, I think the deal was that there was a set amount per down, and the more downs you dealt, the more you earned.
