Re: If the measure of a man...
Am I the only person alive who doesn't like Stella?
One of my Irish friends was always drinking it, and I assumed that it must be good, because people from europe are cultured and have good taste. I finally tried some and it was just so "meh". I'm not a big beer drinker, and generally believe that wrt beer "if you can see through it, it's piss", but Stella seemed especially non-remarkable. |

"What's the word? Thunderbird How's it sold? Good and cold What's the jive? Bird's alive What's the price? Thirty twice." That's right, $.60 to fly like the Bird. To this day if someone sez "What's the word" I blurt out "Thunderbird". Re: If the measure of a man...
[ QUOTE ]
Am I the only person alive who doesn't like Stella? [/ QUOTE ] I dunno, I think it's pretty good. It's the beer that everybody has on tap around here, and I generally get draft beer and generally like lagers and pale ales. I think a lot of the more mass-market continental European beers (Stella, Heineken, Amstel Light etc) fall into a close category for me with Stella being the best. Also, Czechvar is good. NT |

Mmmm, bum wine. [/ QUOTE ] I didnt realise 20/20 originated in the States as well, this was the stock drink of the 15-16 year old lasses when we used to hang out on the street. Obvioulsy this was before alcopops that they all drink now. |

Re: If the measure of a man...
As well as tasting [censored], Stella seems to be drunk exclusively by yobs round here. More reserved men drink Carling.
