as far as i know, it doesnt cost anything to be fairly civil to people, no matter how dumb they may be.

Good point (utopian for sure, but good point).

Problem is, OP has been as uncivil as anyone in this discussion. I quoted some of his more highly personal insults earlier. And looking at his original post, OP was also clearly not civil in his correspondence with Doyle's Room support.

Are the rest of us to be held to a higher standard than OP?

Harvester I agree with you 100%.

You gave someone 30$, he ran it up, then tried to transfer you back some money. I dont know if this is a stake or what but the bottom line is he has already paid 1.5K in rake according to the action points he has....why would the site need to have a hissy about this money being played when it has already been played to the tune of 1.5k on a 30 dollar transfer?

Now had he he just deposited, transfered, and you cashed out I could see the problem.... but something tells me the 1.5K in rake he paid on the money more than makes up for the cost of them sending you the 300$ which is gonna cost them about 7$ in neteller fees.

So in order to save those 7$ in fees they lose a few winning highish volume players that have paid the site thousands in rake. Not to mention you are talking about sending someone else there to play. Bad business, dumb decision, the site dropped the ball. If I had a poker site someone would be getting fired over a decision that bad... it really was that bad. And now you see why this forum sucks most of the time.

One last point.. VC is on a network with a whole lot other rooms. Here is a partial list, a little outdated.

Aspinalls, Avalanche Poker, Black Dragon Poker, Blue Lizard Poker, Bluesq.com, Casino of Mayfair, Cleo’s Poker, Doyle’s Room, Every Edge Poker, FHM Poker, Fish Pond Poker, Francite Poker, Free Poker Play, Freeserve, Gamble.co.uk, Gaming Floor Poker, Gamtrak Poker, Getminted, Golden Palace, Good Gambling Guide, High Stakes Book Shop, Hog Poker, Inside-Straight, Irish Racing, Multibet Poker, New Vegas Poker, Paddy Poker, Page 3 Poker, Payday Poker, Pocket Rockets Poker, Pokerdaddy, Poker.fr, Poker in Europe, Poker Legends, Pokerscore, Poker Wild, Proper Poker, Readabet.com, RealPoker.co.uk, Royal Blue Poker, Skin Poker, Thanks for the Action, Tiger Poker, UK Pokerstars, UK-Poker.co.uk, UK-poker.net, Vegas Queens Poker, VCPoker (Victor Chandler Poker), Victory Poker, Viking Bet Poker, Wide World of Poker and Worldsbestpoker

If you have a solid winning player you need to cater to them as your best possible ideal customer. This is not true on sites that are not on a network.

If you are on a site with 20 other rooms the people you bust are most likley going to be a member of a different poker room. So you are generating a lot of rake and not even hurting the room by taking money out of the certain room you are a member of. Obviously on party this is not the case as everyone is a member of the same room.

The fact that they did this to what should be an Ideal member makes it even worse, this are the type of players (winning) that networked rooms should put first priority on to keep their business.

DR is not your banking service to facilitate your personal financial transactions. Do you think they would offer these transactions if they didn't expect the money to be used on their site? They are running a BUSINESS! If your buddy wants to give you $300 just do what normal people do, write a check.

Its a POLICY. It is set in place for a reason. Just because OP happens to have played X hands at the site doesn't mean the Terms and Condidtions don't apply to him. I'm not saying its the GREATEST business decision in the world, but lets look at the big picture. $1,000 in rake is NOTHING to this site. If you allow an exception for OP what not everyone/anyone else? I just don't understand what OP is so upset about? Its not hard to understand why they don't allow this. Write a check, stick it in an envelope, and throw it in the mailbox. DON'T FORGET THE STAMP.

Well,...I am done with this thread over 8 pages of posts and over 1,000 views. What I wanted to do was accomplished, and I even made some Internet toilet donks mad at me along the way...bwahaha. Like I care, if ya can't comprehend the premise of this easy to follow logic, well then I need ya on my buddy list when you are online so I can play with ya. I know some of you just like to argue for the sake of arguing, it is the Internet and you can get on a keyboard and argue away. Some people live for that, let's find a subject on the net, regardless of the sound logic and straightforwardness of the subject I am going to get into the minutia of the matter. If you wanna argue, well then this site has tons of subjects, call it laundering call it banking...all stupid non sequitor arguments...you are missing the bigger points here. You think I am name dropping...friggen retarded...I mention another site on the same network with another pro involved and my opinion of him to FURTHER the point it isn't the pro I am bad mouthing...noooo you blah blah blah. Stupid, I play with all kinds of pro in big tournaments; I live in Huntington Beach, which is in Southern California....that is where there are a ton of card houses. I am going to Hawaiian Gardens for the Absolute Poker 100k this Sunday...so what it is what I do...big friggen deal this is normal for a player who plays allot in this area. You live in BFE and the only game you got is on your computer, Well...that sucks thank God for the Internet so you can play more than solitaire, it is what I do this is normal for me...name dropping...what a reject missing the subject matter because he can't comment on that and stretching to find something he can be a donk about. I was surprised through this that I wasn't critiqued for not spelling a word right; I thought this was the next step in the argument. Anyways, I don't care anymore make some bullet points for the less than mentally blessed, you suck on the tables, and you suck here, however here I am going to help a little so you can understand.

1. These sites cater to us; this is their job to get more customers.

2. You don't like transfers; don't allow them, if you do then transfer it and that's it.

3. You see something fishy going on the site, stop the transaction and investigate, do not use one rule to rule them all regardless of people involved with the situation at hand.

4. Money in players’ accounts is their money, you can protect it which is fine, you should not stop it from being taken off the site, and this is the third rail of Internet poker.

5. Any decision that loses players and creates over 1,000 views and page after page subject matter, and on other sites as well....is not good for your site. Losing players total 4 now, on your site pulling this junk on the players means you lost money and reputation...both are not good to business.

6. Complete failure of customer service here, nothing more nothing less, I do not believe that this site will take funds from any player and not give it back.

So there, go ahead...fire away...I am done with this subject over 1,000 views and multiple pages...perfect for me, people with two synapses firing get it...those who are here to argue and choose to not get it...will never get it.

Harvester. Every poker room has some rule that will annoy you. Many poker rooms are very cautious about money laundring. If you can't accept a rule you have the option of cashing out and moving on. Which you did.

Doylesroom is not the exception when it comes to rules like this. Sending money back and forth between friends will give you a headache on many sites. My advice is that if you want to do it, do it outside the cardroom (neteller, with cash etc).

Not sure about that. I actually will sign up at Doyles and give it a try now. Thanks for the tip.
