since when was that a peace sign? the other way round maybe. in europe it is used to tell someone to fekk off.

if anyone is interested, it comes from a battle between french and british where british longbow archers annihilated the french and the symbol of the V was the archers hand position on the arrows and was used to taunt them from that day on...

[/ QUOTE ]

You just described exactly how the middle finger came to be known as saying "F*ck You"

You also missed half of the story. The French commander had stated before the battle that any British longbowman who was captured would have his middle finger cut off so they could no longer shoot. After the British annihilated the French, they flashed the middle finger at the retreating Frenchmen to basically state "F*ck you, we still have our fingers."

So today I watched this guy pop his collar, and as he walked by he gave me a really weird look. It was then that I realized that I had been staring at him with a nauseated expression fer like 20 seconds. Here's a brief reinactment of this strange creature:
He looked left and then right, prolly hoping to get in a quick "clicking gun." He then leaned back and pretended to have an exaggerated yawn. He now moved the right side of his collar slightly up. He again looked around, but this time made a strange grunting noise. Only now did he choose to pop his collar fully. What an interesting young man.

You guys who pop your collars are nuts. I don't get it.

[/ QUOTE ]

I pop my collar. its just a good look - gives you a little more wild aggressive look.

I do it so nerds and losers get into a hissy fit about it and go complain on an internet forum about it, where they comiserate with a bunch of other dorks.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, I mean we all can't be as cool as you man. Clearly everyone who talks on an internet forum about random stuff is a "nerd," obviously except for you, of course. Since when did using the term "hissy fit" indicate that you're cool...you sound like a grandma.

I don't remember who said it, but someone mentioned that they think it looks good on chicks. I completely agree. I mean obviously these girls would be hot regardless of the collar, but I think it gives them a few extra hotness points.

wow, I'm so glad you addressed this. I was just about to comment on it

I guess these are the same destitute vermin that would consider wearing a sub-150-dollar tie.

Whats the point of getting a higher education if you live in Canada? Do you plan on moving to America?

[/ QUOTE ]

You're right, we have no jobs in Canada.
