Default Correct

You're correct. A game is a process, and has to be looked at as a process to calculate expectation. If it wasn't, there would be no way to calculate an expectation for games like blackjack. I find it amusing that some players will add and subtract expectations for multiple rule variations in the game of blackjack to determine their EV, seeing the game as a process -- but then want to look at other games by analyzing individual wagers out-of-process.

Well said, only someone like Cyrus would do otherwise and likely more just to be obstinate than really believing he is helping anyone at all.

I don't know what you mean by "seriously". Are you saying there's no serious/advantage play in craps? Or are you simply asking the question seriously?

In either case, this is the answer:

- Craps can be fun. Nothing wrong with playing a negative-EV game for fun. One could cite numerous negative-EV endeavors (in narrow monetary terms) which are, nevertheless, not considered, and rightly so, a bad choice, generally.

- Craps can be beaten. One elementary method of beating casino craps was pointed out in the seminal Grosjean book (currently out of print). Wong, in his latest book, suggests that obtaining an advantage through dice setting is possible. Moreover, he put his money where his mouth is -- and won. (The results of the wager were not deemed to be statistically significant, though.)

Discussing craps seriously is quite legitimate.

And fun (look up my exchange with SheetWise... )
