What's the objection to this type of software? I don't get it.

I could care less if people know how often I raise or what my aggression factor is, I just worry about playing the best I can.

I really don't understand the fear.

I would be so happy if party bans these programs forcing these players to other sites, leaving me alone with the party poker fish that dont have a clue whats going on. How many bad players use these programs? I would guess not to many.

I have used pokertracker in the past and still do occassionally, i dont think there is anything wrong with it, but if they ban that to, i will live with it. Since when did using programs become a god given right.

Party has made more money than the majority of the posters here combined and know how to run a business just fine. THey arent going to lose too many customers despite many of your assertions.

Default If you are a good player...

If you are a good player, you should be happy about the existence of pokeredge, even if you don't use it. One of its main uses is table selection: people use it to avoid other good players and try to find tables full of fish. This means that other good payers will see your stats and avoid your tables. This benefits you both-- it is better to play at separate tables where you will both make money than to butt heads against each other.

IF a smart, good player has access to your betting patterns, it should cause some fear. I dont think about it too often but it is certainly an advantage.

would a casino allow someone to sit around every table taking down everyones name and taking notes on everyones play all day long? i dont think that would go over too well. so why should it be allowed on line

Really doesn't bother me. If you play high enough, you end up playing with the same people all the time anyway and we all have "access" to each other's betting patterns.

If anything, it forces you to mix things up and you'll probably learn to be a better player.

I know I am in the minority but I have already sent party several emails about mass-data mining and programs like pokeredge. They thank me for the emails, say they are looking into it but they still allow data mining at tables you are not playing. So who knows.

Send them an email at alerts@partypoker.com if you also don't like mass-data minig, pokeredge or other programs like that.
