Re: Best song in a movie moment...
requiem for a dream theme song, however, lord of the rings completely stole it (note for note) and ruined it.

Re: Best song in a movie moment...
The song at the start of Donnie Darko when he's riding the bike...what is it again, Tears for Fears - "Fate against your will" or something. The lyrics fit the movie perfectly.
Not "the best", but one of my favorites. |

Re: Best song in a movie moment...
.....PBS used to show an animated movie around Christmas every year called "The Snowman". It's a British production based on a children's story by Raymond Briggs, made in 1982 and narrated by David Bowie.
In the middle of it there is an absolutely haunting tune called "Walking in the Air" sung by a young Welsh choirboy. The beauty of the song, juxtaposed with the story line is one of the more enchanting moments I've ever experienced. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] There's a song in Team America during the scene where they're having cocktails. Right before the sex scene, right after where Kim Jung Il declares himself the head of the terrorists (while killing Hrans Brix lol). Does anyone know the song? It has the line "close your eyes girl" and it seems that it's in every movie at a point like this. It's a great song and I'm wondering it anyone knows what it is. Edit- I'm pretty sure it's in one of the Austin Powers as well, I think the 2nd [/ QUOTE ] Anyone? [/ QUOTE ] Hrans Brix, roh hrow nrice to sree rou. Arnyrone knrow the srong? Elliott Smith - Needle in the Hay during the suicide scene in Royal Tenenbaums is absolutely amazing. [/ QUOTE ] Wes Anderson has a ton of great songs in his movies. I've always felt there should be a "best use of music in a film" for movies such as the Anderson flicks and Almost Famous, as the current scheme requires original music. |
