Scotty, like I said -- don't let me stop you. If you replace "infinite" with "really, like, a whole lot" then I'm all about threesomes and such. I just think the word "infinite" put things in a totally different league.

I dunno what the OP intended, but he just struck me as a little more thoughtful than the usual OOT slush.

I agree, but once you use the word 'infinite' I believe it can no longer be discussed on a mortal level. 'Inifinite' is far beyond human comprehension, which I believe you were alluding to.

My cat is the perfect example. 90% of the time, she is a normal cat, playing with string and getting her head scratched. But late at night or after some good catnip, she gets this look in her eyes, like "I have been here since the beginning; I have seen empires rise and fall, and I will be here long after everything you know is gone."

But mostly, she just likes cheese.

So are you saying that by containing infinite power you would be stripped of all human wants and emotions immediatley? If so , this is clearly a setback i had not counted on. the feeling of complete enlightenment might be better than human emotion....but i wouldnt believe it until i felt it...How can isolated (by isolated i mean that you would be the only all knowing infinite spirit thing), knowledge make you more content than pleasure? Knowledge can bring pleasure, but infinite knowledge sounds like lighting a fire in a methane room... a 100% methane room. You need a tiny bit of air for it to be fun.....I cannot grasp the pleasure of infinity so I assume there is none.If those post come close to anything resembling a rational thought tell me.I am tire and trying to finish this stupid paper.

If I had ultimate power, the first thing I would do would be to get rid of it.

I felt much more whole as a person when i kissed courntey shoemate in the 8th grade than I ever did reading a book and researching lifes intricacies.

That's the most beautiful thing I've ever heard.

If there's ever another "Favorite Poster" thread, I think that you're easily getting a #1 seed.

There was an episode of the Twighlight Zone where a robber died. He comes out on the other side and it's just like Earth, but with one difference. Anything he wants to happen, happens. He says that he wants a million dollars and he doesn't have to go out and steal it, it just shows up in his house. He wants beautiful women and they're there. He goes to a casino, plays roulette and hits his number every time.

Soon, he gets bored. He hates that he doesn't have to work for anything, that everything is just there, handed to him on a silver platter. So he goes to his guardian angel type character and says "I can't stand this, I don't like heaven, I wanna get out of here. Send me to the other place."

The angel says "This is the other place."

I wouldn't play poker if I always won.

Take from that what you will.
