Thanks for the info.

Interesting structure, I wonder why they just dont make it a 200 buy in with 2500 in chips. Whatever, I'll have a brain spasm trying to figure out Turning Stone's logic.

Has anyone heard anything about the structure of the Super Satellites running on 8/12 + 8/13? They are listed as re-buy events - could I safely assume that this is unlimited until first break with 1 add on?

Is that pretty standard?

I'd call, but the poker room staff seemed fairly hassled when I called for general info last night. I can't imagine asking them to track down starting chip counts, etc.

NS

If they are the same as last time, unlimited cheap rebuys and one addon. Also, they will be quite the crapshoot. 3 players got seat, and by the time the tournament got to the final table, the chip leader had 20k, with blinds of 2k 4k... with that in mind, i'm going to run it. I'm a lousy NL player anyways

I am going to the TS as well on the 14th and 15th to play cash games and actually had no idea that the Empire State Poker Series was going on... kind of cool to just find out.

Last time i went i just decided to sit down at 1-3 spread as it was my first B&M experience... My advice is to not play that game. Although it could be a profitable game due to the high VPIP and very loose atmosphere, i found the rake to be particularly brutal. if the pot exceeds $10 you are required to give a $3 rake as well as $1 tip if you don't want to look cheap.

Do you guys think the 3-6 and 5-10 games will be relatively soft during the 14th and 15th?

I'm banking on a lot of NL players who dont have much experience with limit sitting down and taking a shot and hopefully playing quite shitty.

Although i might take a shot at a small tourney i'm mostly planning on playing cash games...

I personally found the casino to have a nice atmosphere however I do NOT feel like sitting at a 1-3 game again. Hope to see some of you guys rippin up the tournaments on the 14/15th!

ANy comments on TS 3-6 and 5-10 games?

They actually changed the rake.

For all games:

+$1 if the pot reaches the flop
+$1 if the pot reaches $10
+$1 more if the pot reaches $20
+$1 more if the pot reaches $40
+optional tip

3/6: Loose and very easy.

5/10: Depends on the table. Usually a decent game, but nowhere near as soft as the 3/6
