Hi Fletcher,

if I understand you correctly, one of your arguments goes something like this:

1) In B&Ms you have hade many good years, and a couple of bad (losing) years. Thus B&M games are beatable.

2) You have played 1 year of online poker and only won $15.000. Thus online games are not beatable.

This reasoning doesn't make sense.

And again: What are the secrets you promised to reveal?

Both games are beatable, both have a set of skills. When you're at a casino chances are you know the guy who is raising is full of [censored] because he has a tell. Online there are (almost) no tells. This alone can make a B&M player become a losing player online if he/she still relies on tells. So, two different skill sets.

Of course I only have about 150k hands -played total and am a winning player - or maybe that's just variance.

skimmed most of the post..

but online is MUCH tougher than live games. 4/8 in a casino is about .50/1 online level.

I agree. I don't play in casinos very often but when I do the general standard of play is terrible.

Default Re: WCP Reveals Secrets - Trojan Horse from link in this thread?

I opened a link in this thread earlier and just finished mopping up a trojan horse that resulted (I hope). I see that Mike has now edited the posts to remove the link so i presume this affected other people as well (for those of you who didn't pick it up it seemed to happen after you clicked the link that led (appropriately) to "You are an idiot".

1. Did this happen anyone else?
2. For the more computer savvy out there, was it snough to delete the two entries in the documents and settings folder taht were infected?
3. What did this do? Should i be fixing anything else or changing passwords etc?

Thanks for any help

Mackas

Maybe you should rename your self labeled title to "World Class B&M Player" since a WCP can beat not only B&M games but online games as well...

Maybe I am just running good. That's unlikely since I have played over 130,000 hands this year.

Part time playing 130,000 hands this year. I believe you as I'm simply noting a compelling reason to play online. Don't mean to hijack the thread but this is equivalent to over two years of B&M play and you're only playing part time. I too have my doubts that someone who could beat casino poker for big money couldn't make money in the mid limit games online.

Fletcher,

Most people don't try to jump right into $15/$30 online. You should start at lower stakes and move up. You have been following these forums for awhile and should know about Homer's post for online newbies. That post can be found HERE.

Thank you,

Jim Kuhn
