[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Mecir and Eldred have retired. Dotel had TJ surgery and will miss about half the season. [/ QUOTE ] In that case Al Reyes and Joey Eischen would be at the top of my wish list. [/ QUOTE ] ...except Reyes will miss the entire season with TJ surgery [/ QUOTE ] Haha, this is all starting to explain how Scott Eyre got $11 Mil and Farnsworth $17 mil. |

Re: ***The OFFICAL Yankees Offseason Speculation Thread***
Another player the Yankees should be considering (but don't seem to be) is Joey Gathright in center. the yankees have nobody to give tampa for a young cheap player with nothing but upside. especially considering how difficult tampa is to deal with. |

Re: ***The OFFICAL Yankees Offseason Speculation Thread***
duncan struggled a bit this year in the minor leagues. hes still our best positional prospect.
best thing to do for the yanks is to sit back and not overpay for a cfer. id rather have bubba than overpay. |

from yankees.com
Perhaps the most interesting development this week was the decision to offer arbitration to Bernie Williams, giving the two sides another month to reach a one-year agreement. The Yankees are closing in on a $2 million deal with Williams, who will fill the role of backup outfielder and part-time designated hitter that Ruben Sierra has had for the past two years.
