i see them live when they play here but they got so popular so are on tour constantly it seems. i dont know too much about them and havent even heard their album. ill have to check it out.

Good musician/songwriter. Heavily influenced by the blues. Very versatile at the same time, like Zep. You won't get the same "sound" like you would from a band like the Strokes. I can't stand bands like that.

He plays quite a bit of slide guitar too, which is cool. Meg White lays down a simple heavy backbeat, always pretty minimal but very effective. I really like her approach.

You'll probably like the last 4 albums, the first one is probably harder to swallow for a newbie. Elephant and White Blood Cells are probably the most accessible. All the albums are excellent and can be listened to the whole way through. No filler.
