I just received further email from PokerStars about this -- they are providing further compensation to players registered in the four tournaments that were cancelled as a result of the outage. Since they already refunded all the buyins and entry fees, the further compensation obviously comes from PokerStars itself, not the prize pool. All in all, I'm quite happy with this resolution.
