I don't trust those tools that touch the registry to remove another application.

Most likely some key got removed or changed that affects the the installation of the new client. If you have a backup of the registry before using that tool, you may try to use that backup. Even if you do this , then you have to install Empire from a different PC.


The more drastic option is to reinstall the OS or do a system restore before the date you tried to remove the Party client using that tool.

I got the same error a few months ago on the last bonus I missed (remember EMPIRE500?) when I used Party's uninstall, so I guess this glich has cost me about $1000. Could have bought a new computer and been well ahead. My guess, then, is that there is still a registry entry that Party won't uninstall to prevent me from benefitting like the rest of the world, and that the "Professional" uninstall package missed. I can very easily set the account up on another machine, it is the hours of playing that I can't, easily, do somewhere else. I'm afraid by the time I get this figured out, I will have missed this $500 train as well. Party sucks.

I'm new in online poker and don't want to miss out on this bonus. I'm already with Party and Pacific. within a week I cleared 2500 hands on Party and wagered 5000$ on Pacific

a) do I really have to uninstall Party to get to Empire?
b) I would also like to get a PM for the rakereturn.
