4th - Hachem
3rd - Dannenmann

The guys on gutshot are probably nothing compared to the Cardplayer guys, but they did come up with this tidbit. Side story, apparently Phil Laak is playing robots online or something and beat them heads up, then was asking if they played better than him. One of the announcers then says he heard the robots in the bar saying that Phil couldnt play for sh!t. Imagine an irish accent with that, dunno it made me laugh for a while.

Beyond happy, please learn what expected value is before replying people.

Thanks. Should I meantion that I have a basic understanding of EV?
Nah, it wouldn't be worth it.

The point is, I'm not even sure if he made the call for the right reasons. Would he have done that if Black had more chips? I'd wager that he would. Regardless, you guys are most likely right. But I'm also willing to wager you've also said something incorrect about poker on these boards. No? Hmm.. must be nice to be perfect.

There's no need for you to be an ass.
I already said I could easily be wrong.

Black and Barch are very good players. Let's not be too harsh on them.

You may be right. As I said, it was just my opinion.

Still, you can't tell me he played that K5 well.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd play it exactly the same at my .01/.02 table.

Alright, good for him. Bad call with pocket fours, IMO.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think its fine as the chip leader against a short stack that could easily be steaming.

[/ QUOTE ]

I disagree. Even from my spot, I didn't think Black was steaming. Calling with two fours is essentially hoping for a coinflip. You really don't want to put yourself in the position to take a 50/50 shot of doubling Black up.

That's just my opinion, though.

[/ QUOTE ]

Like Chris said, there is a million in the pot already adn you need to call 2.5 mil or so more. You should be happy to take a coin flip as the chip leader in this spot.

[/ QUOTE ]

Completely agree. For some reason people seem to hate "coinflips even if there is already 10 million in the pot.
