No, it's not. Somewhere around the bubble the tournament goes 9-max. There were posts about this in a previous day's thread.

When he said tournament play was 9-max, I took him to mean that it's 9-max RIGHT NOW, since it's common knowledge they started with more than 9.

I'm not denying it was ambiguous, but sheesh, what is it about the internet that makes everyone so touchy.
