It does conjure up such pictures a bit, but then again, so does whiskey. Aren't all the guys starting brawls and shooting each other in westerns and cop shows always ordering whiskey? Hard liquor in general has that image, at least the brown liquors.
The idea of images and liquor is pretty silly as a whole anyway.
