i had this "discussion" with ed miller about kjs several weeks back in this form in a non raised pot. i did not completely agree then, and i think this is worse for 2 reasons:
1). 7 people going to see the flop is different, and not what will happen here.
2). KQs is most likely dominated.
one of ed's points was that by raising, a player who was not good enough to get away from top pair, had the correct odds to continue if he raised preflop. it seems the player should learn to play better, instead of raise so he can't make mistakes on later streets.
let me be clear, IN AN UNRAISED MULTIWAY POT I SEE REAL VALUE IN THE RAISE, but not here following an early raiser. for 2 bets even with position KQs has neg ev.

see, the thing is you're wrong. there isn't usually a "right" or "wrong" in this game but here you're wrong. I get the impression that you just enjoy arguing.

I understand precisely what you are saying.

I just don't agree with you.

calling with KQs here in a raised pot is also a loser. you are too often dominated.

[/ QUOTE ]

against one player, i can see folding as domination then becomes a major issue. against several, i think the call is easy and IMO 3 betting is not awful.

afleck, you are 100% correct.

probability of hitting a flush given hero has 2 suited cards=135,597/2,118,760=6.4%

probability of hitting a flush given hero has 2 unsuited cards=39,204/2,118,760=1.9%

these #s assume hero stays till river in every case.

is this whole preflop debate over? I wasn't even looking for comments on that. I think the turn is more interesting.
