[/ QUOTE ] I'd estimate that any "clutchiness" of Ortiz is madeup by about the ~30+ runs A-Rod saves over Ortiz in the field. That might be more, I don't really know. All of the studies I've seen that quantifies defensive runs as +/- average, IE "A-Rod is 15 runs above average at third base" which I think he was close to last year per UZR (and would essentially be gold glove). I mean, this is a huge thing and it just isn't quantified in positional adjustments stats (batting runs quantified in terms of +/- the average player at their position).
