I can't recommend a Seuss book that hasn't been mentioned, but since you seem to have opened the floor, I recommend A Giraffe And A Half by Shel Silverstein.

While you're at it, check out some of Shel's more adult works.

As a kid, these were some of my favorite books. I still remember one of my favorites:

Teddy said it was a hat.
So I put it on.
Now Dad's saying,
"Where the heck's the toilet plunger gone?"
