Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- scorpiowins -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Haven't been at 5/10 in a while, but 6 months ago I thought he was the best I had seen at 5/10. ___1___ [/ QUOTE ] yes this guy is the most consistent big winner I've seen in my dataming db's but I have not run into him on the tables at all. I've only been playing $5-10 6MAX consistently for the last 6 weeks. |

How's 10/20 been compared to 5/10? [/ QUOTE ] It was a big adjustment. I had taken many shots at 10/20, but just couldn't the $1000+ swings. I would completely suggest AT LEAST a 500BB BR if you plan on making 10/20 your fulltime game. The biggest adjustment was basically my style of play. I played the vast majority of 5/10 at 20/14. Through those many shots at 10/20 I found that even a 20/14 style just didn't work. I spend my last 50k hands at 5/10 around 25/18 and using that style made the adjustment to 10/20 MUCH easier. Essentially, my advice for 10/20 is... 1) Get your VPIP at 25-30. If you don't feel comfortable with a 25+VPIP stay at 5/10 until you do. 2) Steal lots 3) Work hard on finding balance in the blind. Every player is different. Constantly tweak the hands you're calling raises with in the blinds. Find out what works for you. General advice, but I think the first two are the most important. Also, with as LAGish as the 10/20 is...hand reading and table selection are huge... ___1___ |

-I paid a lot of attention to brownTrowt because of the name but was unimpressed [/ QUOTE ] my thoughts exactly. seems pretty weak-tight. I also don't think it's such a hot idea to go by that name....but others could/would say it's not a big deal and/or it might even be +EV (if it tells the other trout to stay out of your way). I don't like announcing my Trout-hood at the table though. I played a lot with Trauffaut in my 3/6 full days. He plays a lot of hands and plays them not very aggressively. Don't know if he has changed his play or not as this was several months ago. I don't recall facing him at 5/10 6-max. I have not seen ANY of my party-skins handles mentioned which is not surprising in the least since I think my game is only just now getting respectable (and I've been playing more tourneys lately too so wouldn't be in many data-bases for very many hands anyway). |

Don't worry Microbob - seems like if your name gets posted in this thread, pretty soon about 3 other posters are jumping up saying how weak-tight and sucky you are. Although, I suppose it would be an ego boost just to have anyone recognize your play. . .
On 2nd thought, someone post my Party-skin ID, dammit! |

i should clarify my comment on traffaut.
when I said 'he plays a lot of hands' i only meant that I would see him 4-tabling under that handle ALL the freaking time so I was guessing he was 15k hands or more a week. He was VP-13 or so as I recall...so he certainly doesn't see many flops. |

[ QUOTE ] scorpiowins [/ QUOTE ] This guy has excellent table selection. Seems like a solid 2+2er. He's been bugging the hell out of me over the last month. Haven't seen him lately. I also agree with Quetzquatle. sp. Krishan [/ QUOTE ] He's playing 10/20 now, as are a few of the other players on goodguy_1's list. |
