Still thinking about finishing in a day?

[/ QUOTE ]

Yes...but some other day.

I dropped below the threshold at the next level so I'm back to square one if anyone's interested.

Rather than starting over, I 3-tabled the $1/$2 6-handed tables and made $550 in an hour and 10 minutes. LOL

Guess the law of averages was waiting for me to bust out of the challenge before balancing things back out.

Oh well, there's always next time...

Later,
Che

Default LEVEL 2 BIOTCH!

Finally! I've reached level 2! WOOOOOHOOOOO!

It's 3 am and I wasn't tired so I decided to play a little bit more. In 23 hands and no less I doubled up my stack and that was enough to put me just over $100. $102.05 to be exact. Here's how it all went down.

PokerRoom No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (8 handed) converter

MP2 ($5.90)
CO ($7.50)
Button ($4.80)
SB ($22.20)
BB ($24.50)
UTG ($28.80)
UTG+1 ($17.40)
MP1 ($27.30)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, UTG+1 calls $0.25, MP1 calls $0.25, MP2 calls $0.25, CO checks, <font color="#666666">1 fold</font>, SB completes, Ruso329 checks.

Flop: ($1.75) 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(6 players)</font>
SB checks, Ruso329 checks, UTG+1 checks, MP1 checks, MP2 checks, CO checks.

Turn: ($1.75) 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(6 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">SB bets $0.5</font>, Ruso329 calls $0.50, UTG+1 folds, MP1 folds, MP2 folds, CO folds.

(I was going to raise here, but I actually figured someone else was going to, and I was going to go over the top)

River: ($2.75) 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
SB checks, <font color="#CC3333">Ruso329 bets $2.5</font>, SB folds.

Final Pot: $5.25

So far, nothing too exciting.
This next hand is where I thought I almost lost my ass. Thank god for slowplayers!

PokerRoom No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (10 handed) converter

($8.60)
MP1 ($5)
MP2 ($8.70)

CO ($25.30)
Button ($18)
SB ($5.65)
BB ($24.15)
UTG ($17.95)
UTG+1 ($27.70)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.25, UTG+1 calls $0.25, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, MP3 calls $0.25, <font color="#CC3333">Ruso329 raises to $3.25</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, UTG calls $2.75, UTG+1 folds, MP3 folds.

UTG checks, <font color="#CC3333">Ruso329 bets $5</font>, UTG calls $5.

(My standard steal/info bet)

Turn: ($16.85) 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>

I had played before with Villain and he was an ATM. I said hey to him during this hand and mentioned how we always seem to run into each other (he just pops up at my table, I don't follow him) and he laughed and said yea. Right before he called my bet he says "You probably have me crushed right now." I replied "probably" as he called. He mucked and told me he had AK. I say "unlucky beat". Thought about saying you should've raised more preflop to get me out but it's best not to tap on the glass I suppose. Although it seems the trusty hand history reveals villain's true holdings.

Anyways, I best not play this late at a limit I am not use to. So I am going to take a break or play a mtt or something. I will tackle .25/.50 tomorrow. Che, sorry to hear about your bust, good job on the recovery though!

Day's results: $24.65
OIC Bankroll: $102.05
Hands played/Total: 24/1121
Time played/Total: 0h 30m/17h 20m
Level: .25/.50 - $50

Hand 2 there makes up for the one last night I semi-bluffed you off your Jacks.

With bottom pair (and a flush draw) on an AQx3 board!

That was fun!

Default Update + a hand - moving up to Level 3

Quick day at level 2, on to level 3. About 250 hands. I am on a huge card rush. Though the last $2 took as long as the first $98 to get.

No PT on this machine so I don't have interesting hand histories, but here was one that I found interesting. Comments appreciated.

Full ring NL50, .25-.5 blinds. Been at the table 2 orbits with some big hands, then I have an orbit where I get AK 6 times. Each of the first 5 times I raise it 10-16BB depending on the limpers. I get called every time, a few by multiple callers. I spike an ace or a king every time. My stack gets bigger, but I never show down a hand. Im up to 130 at the table having shown down once.

I get A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] again, 2nd hand in a row, in MP. I limp. Why? Cause I KNOW I am going to get seriously played back at cause my image is super-LAG at this point. And I dont like knowing that with AK out of position. So I limp. Button raises to 2, I call, all else fold. He has $40, I have him covered. Button has been loose passive preflop and weak tight postflop until now.

Flop comes over the pot of about $4 with A [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] J [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 6 [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img].

I check, he bets 2, I raise to 7, he calls.

Turn is blank, like the 4 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] or something. Pot is about 18. I bet 10, he calls.

River is another blank - like the 9 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], I check, he pushes, like 20 more, I stress about it and call.

Ill start level 3 tonight. I suspect it will get tougher from here.

Overall update:
Total hands = about 290
OIC bankroll = 218
Level 3 - 100NL

Cleveland Guy, whats your Pokerroom id?

Haha, yea that was a nice hand. But I make it a point to not take my pairs any further when a board like that. I figured I'd avoid a check/raise and take the free card and maybe spike a jack. I thought you had come in with a medium ace to the BB so I really didn't want to lose my shirt on that hand.

On the other hand, it's 8 pm and I've just woken up. That's 15 hours of sleep and I managed to miss both my classes today. Oops. So off to level 2!

Oh and Tilt, Cleveland Guy's ID is Cleve Guy. He told me he normally plays PLO though, not HE, but was taking a break last night.

Default Re: Official NL Open Internet Challenge - Week 1

I'll be starting this challenge as well, albeit a bit late.

Played .10-.25 at Stars last night, had a little trouble adjusting to the game from $25NL on Party.
It seemed much more passive, probably due to stack sizes.

Time: 3:53
Total Hands: 229
Results: -$4.15

Hopefully this weekend I'll be able to put some time into playing.

Boy, this is getting ridiculous.
I've gone up and down from level 2 and just cannot adjust. This really worries me about my game, but I can't believe the difference in these two levels. I know the problem is I'm playing my normal 25 NL game so I'm just going to tighten up a lot more and play like a rock and give it one more shot. So far it's gone like this:

Bankroll $50 -&gt; $100 -&gt; $50 -&gt; $100 -&gt; $50 -&gt; $100 -&gt; $50 (Present)

Someone give me a little confidence boost..
At least this time when I busted out I got my money in with the best hand.

PokerRoom No-Limit Hold'em, $1 BB (10 handed) converter

UTG+1 ($17.10)
UTG+2 ($12.20)
MP1 ($26.75)
MP2 ($34.10)
MP3 ($50.50)
CO ($50)
Button ($9.25)
SB ($59.65)
BB ($74.05)
UTG ($13.20)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img],K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img].
UTG calls $0.50, Ruso329 calls $0.50, <font color="#666666">4 folds</font>, <font color="#CC3333">CO raises to $2.5</font>, <font color="#666666">3 folds</font>, UTG folds, <font color="#CC3333">Ruso329 raises to $5</font>, CO calls $2.50.

Flop: ($11.25) T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">Ruso329 bets $12.10 (All-In)</font>, CO calls $12.10.

Turn: ($35.45) A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

River: ($35.45) Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players, 1 all-in)</font>

Final Pot: $35.45

Results in white below: <font color="#FFFFFF">
CO has Ac Qd (two pair, aces and queens).
Outcome: CO wins $35.45. </font>

And to think, he didn't even pick up on my limp/min. raise PF lol.. I was shouting I had aces or kings, poor guy was just deaf.
