I find myself turning the channel every time one of those ridiculous plays happens. I can't stand to watch 46s raise to 40xBB and get reraised by 2s. It makes my head hurt.

I just read the entire thread and no one even mentioned the stupidest aspect of the show. The fact that a casino owner would risk a multi-million dollar lawsuit and tarnashing the name of his casino so that he and his buddy can cheat in a high stakes NL game. This is ridiculous to me. They have so many people on their payroll for that game, they probably don't even make a profit for it! A bunch of table cheaters, dealers, bouncers, police officers, etc. This is easily the most ridiculous aspect of the show.

The reason he is risking so much is because The Matador is the biggest name in poker. If you heard that Doyle Brunson ALWAYS played at a particular casino, you would go there to see him, and you would say "Hey maybe I'll sit at this 2/4 table while i"m here...."

what they make due to rake is probably nothing compared to what would happen if they were caught. no casino owner would take that risk, it's definetly -EV.

I can't wait for the chapters on table selection (make sure your piece is big enough to cover anyone at the table) and reading players (if he is white, don't let him out with the cash). I am sure they will really help my game.
